Festive 500 is tough. And that’s kinda the point. It’s not there to be a easily obtained digital badge. It’s epitomisers the early Rapha mantra’s of ‘Glory through Suffering’ & ‘Convicts of the Road’. I’ve done 2 festive 500’s. One in the U.K. & one on New Zealand, both had their challenges. The U.K. the cold and the short daylight hours, NZ the baking sun & lack of suitable roads for long pleasant road rides. I’ve failed on 3 other attempts. My first 500 I actually got a physical roundel.
I guess the 500 to me proves I’m not a hobbyist at cycling.
